Turtle Beach Park is located at the southernmost end of Siesta Key. It is known to be less crowded than Crescent Beach and Siesta Beach and features some of the tallest dunes in the area. Kayakers and Paddleboarders (SUPS) will enjoy exploring the lagoon and natural wetlands. Turtle Beach has a boat launch area and fishing is permitted in the adjacent Blind Pass Lagoon. Newly improved facilities include pedestrian walkways, children’s playground, pavilion, handicap-access, boardwalk, and enhanced restrooms. There is also free parking, but keep in mind there are NO lifeguards on duty.
Right across from the entrance to Turtle Beach park are two restaurants, the Turtle Beach Grill offers both indoor and outdoor dining and has a large outdoor chickee hut. Waterfront dining is available at Turtle’s Restaurant on Little Sarasota Bay.
