Scope
This policy explains how Ride & Paddle (Great Blue Outfitters LLC d/b/a Ride & Paddle) handles personal information. It covers our website, rideandpaddle.com, and the information we receive and use when you make a reservation online with us through our booking providers, Rentrax and Peek.
Rentrax, Peek, Google and other companies we use have their own privacy policies and notices. This policy does not replace them.
Information we collect and how we use it
Reservations: when you book, you give our booking provider your name, email address, phone number, the equipment or tour you want, your dates, and, for delivery, your delivery address. Payment card details are entered through the booking provider’s payment form. We use this information to run your reservation, contact you about it, provide customer service, and operate our business.
Photo submissions: if you submit a photo or video through our website, we collect it along with your name, email address and any comment you add. We use this to score the submission, send any reward, show it on our website’s leaderboard (you can choose to keep your name off it), and use it for marketing as described when you submit it.
Messages: if you email, call or message us, we receive what you send us and use it to respond.
Website use: like most websites, we and our hosting provider receive technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the page that referred you. We use it to keep the site working and secure and to understand how it is used.
Online reservations and booking providers
You may reserve through third-party services such as Rentrax and Peek. They process your reservation information under their own privacy policies and notices, and we do not control their practices. We use the reservation information we receive from them to operate your reservation, communicate with you, run our business and, where described below, to measure our analytics and advertising.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how people find and use our website and to measure whether our advertising leads to reservations.
- When an online booking is completed, we may send Google a booking identifier and the booking value so that the booking can be counted.
- For eligible bookings, we may send Google Ads a hashed version of the customer’s email address for conversion measurement. Hashing converts the email address into a one-way coded value before it is sent for matching.
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for website functions, analytics and advertising measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Other websites and services
Our website links to other websites, including our booking providers. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies. Service providers who help us run the website, take reservations or measure advertising may receive the information they need to do that work.
Your choices and requests
You may contact us with questions or requests about personal information we hold about you, including requests to access, correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you additional rights. We may need to verify your identity, and some information may need to be retained for legal or business reasons.
Children
Our services are intended to be booked by adults, including parents and guardians booking activities or equipment for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our website. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, please contact us.
